The legal issues continue to drag on with the casino being given additional days to remain open each time.
The casino that did win the bid was the MRHD-sponsored Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, scheduled to open August 1. In 2013, due to a variety of circumstances, they lost their bid to build a new casino and were to have closed earlier this month.
The Argosy is currently in a legal battle involving the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission and the Missouri River Historical Development group (MRHD).
